MY GOONER

Your questionable privacy.

Anonymous site statistics

We count visits, homepage and Archive navigation, artwork interactions, game starts and earned completions, newly saved game rewards, sharing actions, selected discoveries and Boss Mode actions. The release also counts quiz starts, completion, result displays and observable sharing or image-export outcomes; the #09 campaign’s browser choice, verified save outcomes and next-step actions; Bucket reveals, the final After Dark experience, Gallery navigation and discoveries, and arrivals at MG from MyGooner. These are daily totals using fixed public content identifiers, broad referral categories and an approved public campaign when present. Counts describe actions, not different people. We cannot identify returning visitors, reconstruct individual journeys or calculate a player completion rate from these totals.

These counters use our existing Supabase infrastructure and do not create or store visitor, session, page or event identifiers, entered access codes, form contents, quiz answers, personality results, email addresses, IP addresses, full referral URLs, arbitrary query values or exact interaction times. New daily counters are retained for up to 90 days. Turning statistics off stops new counters; previous anonymous totals cannot be linked to you for individual removal.

We use Vercel Web Analytics separately for available page statistics. Vercel Speed Insights provides anonymous performance measurements, such as the Real Experience Score, with public page URLs stripped of query values and fragments. Our new performance integration honors this site preference outside MG, browser GPC and Do Not Track, and MG’s separate preference within MG. Hosting and security systems may process request metadata separately.

Site statistics preference

Checking your preference…

This choice remembers a preference, not an identity. If storage is blocked, it applies to this page only. Browser GPC or Do Not Track stays in control even when you choose on. This preference does not give email signup consent.

Saved play and artwork reactions

Game progress and sticker ownership remain stored in your browser so you can continue playing. The existing historical artwork reaction and interaction system uses a browser identifier and a tab identifier to maintain reactions and prevent duplicate records. Its optional network telemetry also stops when site statistics are off or GPC or Do Not Track is enabled. This does not delete saved play, local artwork reactions or historical records. In the Gooner Gallery, Goona Lisa keeps her existing reaction behavior. Reactions to the twelve other works last only for the current Gallery visit and are labeled accordingly; they do not create permanent reaction records.

MG and email signups

MG’s anonymous counters and statistics preference remain separate. Availability and Inner Circle signups have their own email consent. Read MG’s privacy notice and statistics preference.

EXPOSE EVAN — PRIVACY NOTICE

For the November 2026 competition; supplements the existing /privacy notice.

MyGooner operates Expose Evan. Contact hmu@mygooner.com for support, access, correction, withdrawal or deletion requests. Reasonable ownership checks may be required.

We use necessary browser/player identifiers, session and find records, verified times, Goonernames and replay records to run the hunt, maintain rankings and prevent abuse. Public rankings display Goonername, rank and time. Names need not be unique.

Sticker entry is optional. We collect email, eligibility acknowledgments and verification status to administer entry and prevent duplicate prize entitlements. Verification links expire and work once. Entry does not subscribe you to marketing. Only confirmed eligible winners are asked privately for shipping information. Emails and shipping addresses are not published or sold.

Vercel hosts the website, Render runs the backend, Neon stores competition records, Resend delivers verification email, and USPS handles shipping. Providers receive information needed for their role. Optional analytics follow the existing site preferences and DNT/GPC handling; declining analytics does not block play or entry.

Private abandoned/unverified entry data is scheduled for deletion 30 days after closing. The 90-day retention period for verified entrant contact information and winner shipping details begins only after final prize fulfillment is complete and all disputes are resolved; these records are scheduled for deletion at the end of that period. Private session/find evidence and minimal private competition/audit records are retained for no more than two years. Public ranking history may remain without private contact information. Documented legal, security or unresolved-dispute needs may extend retention only for affected records. Private exports and correspondence follow the same policy.

MyGooner currently administers cleanup manually under a documented schedule. Automatic deletion is not currently active. Backups follow the relevant provider's retention controls; after restoration, applicable deletions must be reapplied before private data returns to ordinary service.

Privacy updates will be dated on the rules/privacy pages, with appropriate notice of material changes. The November rules explain entry, scoring and prize eligibility.
